An AI assistant for advocates and law firms in Ukraine

The case is worked through
while you have your coffee.

What you get

Less routine. More time for law.

Ready in an evening, not a weekend

When you sit down with the case, the chronology, the evidence matrix and the contradictions are ready. You start with the position.

More cases with the same team

Reading and summarising materials no longer takes your assistants days. The team does the work the client pays for.

Nothing gets lost

Merit reads every sheet. You see a discrepancy in a report or a running deadline before the hearing, not at it.

A stronger position in court

Each argument rests on a sheet of the case file, a rule in the right version and Supreme Court practice.

Documents faster

A draft complaint or motion is built from the facts of your case. You edit a finished text instead of writing from scratch.

The client sees results sooner

You can discuss the position and the plan with the client much earlier than when the whole case is read by hand.

How it works

From a folder of materials to a ready position

Six steps. Each one shows what is done and what waits for your decision.

  1. 01

    Upload the materials

Scans, PDFs, emails with attachments, photos of documents from a phone. A whole folder, unsorted, is fine.

  2. 02

    Merit reads everything

Every page, even a blurred scan or a phone photo.

  3. 03

    Puts it in order

Splits the materials into documents and works out what each one is, its date and whose it is: yours, the other side’s or the court’s.

  4. 04

    Finds what matters

Facts, dates, participants and procedural acts. Each fact has a quote from its document.

  5. 05

    Analyses the case

Builds the chronology and the evidence matrix, assesses each piece of evidence, finds contradictions, proposes defence versions and a legal position.

  6. 06

    You check

Everything that needs your decision is in one list. Accept, correct or reject. The last word is always yours.

Evidence matrix

An evidence matrix you do not have to build by hand

Merit shows what supports each circumstance, what undermines it and where evidence is missing. The weak points of the prosecution are visible at once.

  • Circumstances to be proven (Art. 91 CPC). Separately for each accused and each episode.
  • An assessment of each piece of evidence: relevance, admissibility, reliability. With the reason for any doubt.
  • Contradictions between documents: time, place, participants, sums. Both quotes side by side.
  • Defence versions. Merit proposes, you choose.

Features

The whole case in one place

Chronology

All events and procedural acts of the case on one timeline. Click an event to open the right page of the document.

Case participants

Who is who: parties, witnesses, officials, organisations. Even when the documents spell one surname in different ways.

Legal opinion

An analysis of the materials, the position in the case and the case law that supports it. Check each statement against its source.

Deadlines and hearings

Merit finds procedural deadlines in court documents and counts them by the rules of the code. Hearing dates come from the court schedule.

Counterparty checks

Whether a company exists, has debts, open enforcement proceedings or a bankruptcy case. With no manual search of state websites.

Case assistant

Ask about the case in plain words. The answer links to sheets of the case file, articles of law and court decisions.

Documents

A draft complaint built on your case, not a blank form

Merit writes the document from the facts and evidence of your case, with references to the law and to the sheets. The required details are checked against the procedural code, so nothing is lost. Documents are drafted in Ukrainian, as the court requires.

  • Appeals and cassation appeals
  • Complaints against the investigator or the prosecutor
  • Motions to change a preventive measure
  • Motions to close proceedings
  • Statements of claim under the civil, commercial and administrative codes
  • Legal opinions and memos

Your firm’s Word templates work too. Merit fills them with the data of the case and tells you what is missing.

Sources

Legislation, case law and registers always at hand

An article of law or a court decision named in the documents opens in one click. The law is shown in the version that was in force on the date you need.

Case law

Decisions from the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, Supreme Court legal positions and practice reviews, judgments of the ECHR and the Constitutional Court.

Quality control

Merit prepares. You decide.

  • Each fact has a quote and a sheet number. You can check it in seconds.
  • If a page could not be read, Merit says so plainly.
  • If a reference could not be checked, you see that.
  • Your corrections are kept. A new analysis does not overwrite them.
