One form opens a client and a matter. Company data come from the register (ЄДР) by the ЄДРПОУ code, and conflicts of interest and sanctions are checked before the matter opens.

Court proceedings
The first instance, the appeal, the cassation, a counterclaim and the enforcement are separate proceedings of one matter. A court case can be found by its number.
Hearings from the court schedule
Every day Merit compares the court schedules with your proceedings. A new hearing appears in the calendar by itself, a moved one changes its time, and a dropped one is marked cancelled.
Procedural deadlines
A term is counted by the rules of the code: from the next day, moved off a weekend or a holiday. When the law suspends a term, Merit suspends it too.
Time tracking
A lawyer records hours, a partner approves or writes them off. An approved hour becomes a line of the client invoice.
Invoices and payments
An invoice is its lines: hours, fixed fees, expenses, VAT. Bank receipts are matched against invoices, and client money is kept apart from the money of the firm.
Client engagements
The legal aid agreement with its fee terms and its term. A matter takes the terms from the agreement, and the system shows work done under an agreement that has expired.
Matter expenses
Court fee, expert, notary, translation. Each expense carries its proof, and an expense without one does not reach the client invoice.
Document flow and post
Incoming and outgoing registers, letters, firm documents and matter documents. Each dispatch keeps the proof that it arrived.
Calls
The journal of client calls, the queue of calls not yet returned, and the path from a call to an hour on the invoice.
Document templates
Documents with the fields of the matter and the client. A field the matter does not have is named, not left blank, so no document goes out with a gap instead of a company code.
Team and analytics
The workload of each lawyer, access to matters by group, and the figures of the firm: hours, invoices, payments.

For an advocate in sole practice, an advocate bureau and an advocate association. Access to matters is set by group, so each lawyer sees only the matters of their own.
Can we move our templates from Jusnote?
Yes. Merit reads the fields of Jusnote templates. You map a field once, and every template with it works.
How are client data protected?
The data of each firm are kept apart, and documents are stored only encrypted. Every action goes into a log, and nobody can change a record unseen.
